Cancellation and Refund Policy
Dezine and Build, a brand under Macrealities Design Pvt Ltd, operates as a trusted consultant between homeowners (Clients) and verified Contractors for the execution of residential design, construction, and renovation projects across Chennai and Tamil Nadu. By accessing or using the Dezine and Build platform, all parties expressly acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Cancellation and Refund Policy, as well as to the intermediary role of Dezine and Build in facilitating project execution.
Dezine and Build Customer Cancellation Policy
At Dezine and Build, we invest significant effort and expertise to provide transparent, reliable, and customised residential construction consultancy services. Each project involves detailed understanding of client needs, comprehensive design documentation, contractor matchmaking based on multiple parameters like project type, budget, location, design style, timeline expectations, and quality standards.
While we strive to deliver the best experience, we understand that circumstances may arise where a Client may wish to cancel a project after making an initial booking payment.
In the event of a cancellation, the following policy shall apply:
Initiating a Cancellation
- A formal cancellation request must be submitted in writing from the Client’s registered email address to support@dezineandbuild.com or through registered post to our office address with acknowledgment due
- The request must clearly state the project details and the reasons for cancellation.
- Until Dezine and Build receives this formal request, all services will continue, and any amounts paid will be adjusted against services rendered.
Service Costs and Deductions
- Dezine and Build incurs significant costs during project initiation, including site assessments, digital surveys, design work, soil testing (if applicable), and contractor allocation.
- Upon cancellation, the costs corresponding to services already rendered will be deducted from any payments received.
- Refunds will be processed only after deduction of applicable service fees proportionate to the stage of work completed.

- Fees are inclusive of applicable taxes.
- Additional services outside the above scope will be charged at actuals.

Note:
Once a stage commences, the entire service fee for that stage is retained. No partial refunds shall apply.
Post-Contract Cancellation
- If cancellation occurs after the execution of the Master Agreement between the Client, Dezine and Build, and the Contractor, the terms of that agreement will determine the applicable cancellation charges.
- Any mobilisation or preparatory costs incurred by the Contractor will be billed separately to the Client, as agreed in the Master Agreement.
- In case of any dispute on payable amounts between the Client and Contractor, Dezine and Build's decision shall be final and binding.
Refund Processing
- Refunds, if applicable, will be transferred to the Client's bank account within 30 business days of execution of a Settlement and Release Agreement confirming the final refund amount.
- Refunds shall only be made through bank transfer. Cash refunds are not permitted.
- Any outstanding dues by the Client to Dezine and Build must be cleared within 30 business days from written notification.
- Failure to do so will attract an interest charge of 18% per annum on the pending amount
Policy Updates
- Dezine and Build reserves the right to amend this Cancellation and Refund Policy at its discretion. Any changes will be communicated via email or the platform, and continued usage of our services shall imply acceptance of the revised policy terms.
Additional Notes for Clients in Chennai and Tamil Nadu
- As part of our commitment to seamless project management in Chennai and Tamil Nadu
- Dezine and Build may also assist clients in coordinating with regulatory consultants (liaisoning agents) to secure necessary permissions, building approvals, and compliance clearances.
- Liaisoning agents act as facilitators with local authorities, helping in municipal drawing submissions, obtaining approvals, and addressing regulatory concerns.
- Liaisoning charges, if availed, will be billed separately and will be non-refundable once services are initiated.
